Happy Tuesday! This week’s tip comes from Dan Marshall’s “Cityscapes in Watercolor.”
There’s a lot you can do when your watercolor paint is still wet including lifting areas. Here's what you do: Take a clean, damp brush. Make sure it doesn't have much water in it because you want it to be "thirsty." Run it along the area you want to lift and you can remove a fair amount of paint. See how Daniel Marshall lifts paint to not only pull the viewer’s eye into his painting but also help establish linear depth.
