Mastering Yupo with George James

Excecllent DVD. I was really floundering with painting on Yupo before I watched this DVD. If I made a mistake or simply wanted to make a change in the painting, my only recourse was to wipe off completely what I had done and start all over again which was very frustrating. Or I could not get really good darks. Thanks to George James, I have learned some excellent techniques such as developing textures, working with glazes and obtaining deep darks. He is an excellent and generous teacher . I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone who wants to work with watercolor on Yupo.

Tremendous DVD for learning Yupo

George has experimented extensively with transparent watercolor on Yupo paper. He freely shares his knowledge in this instructional video. George boils down guidelines for working with Yupo that are easy to remember after the video ends. George shows how to keep watercolors transparent on this unique paper, using simple, inexpensive tools. I loved his innovative use of stencils, stamps, and found mark-making tools that create an intriguing visual collage during his demonstration. I watched once to learn, then again to take notes, and the third time through will be to follow along and paint alongside George James. I plan to purchase his other DVDs soon.
